Hello!

I'm back to baby claws w00p w00p :) I'm really happy that my nails grow fast. To celebrate this little event I decided to use one of my all time favorite Kiko 336Blu elettrico (already shown here) which you can see is a vibrant electric blue <3 To add some sparkle I sponged some Essence Make it golden (unfortunately discontinued long ago) and put on a thick coat of top coat.
Hope you like this combination as much as I did <3

Essence Live, laugh & party

Hello!

Essence Live, laugh & party has been on my to swatch list since October, I work super fast :) I've seen swatches of it over white and purple bases but since I like how it looks in the bottle I went with the purple. For the base I used and oldie, Essence Passion for fashion which was a mistake :) The polish itself is great but it's a blurple and therefore impossible to photograph it. My photos turned out way too blue. Moving on to the topper, it has a very thick and jelly consistency so I sponged it on to prevent thick coats. If you're not familiar with this technique, you put glitter polishes in a sponge (same you use for gradients). The base polish gets absorbed into the sponge and the glitters stay on the surface. It's a super practical thing for sparse glitters. I did "one coat" of that and added one additional "normal" coat cause I like the glitter trapped in jelly look.

Hello!

Yes, again with the title problems :) Spring is around the corner and I'm so excited so I went with some pastels/lighter colors. It's also been quite a while since I wore any animal prints so I decided to just combine the two. The bases are Essie Topless&barefoot and Essence Mojito green (solo swatch here). For the leopard spots I used Essence Mojito green, Essence Black is back and a crayon cause I couldn't find a dotting tool :)

Hello!

More Spring manis! I don't know what's happening to me, I used to be a big Spring/Summer hater :) Today I'm gonna show you what I did with Born pretty store stamping plate 39 which I was sent for reviewing purposes. I picked it because it has a great variety of stamps, from skulls, little adorable Buuh! stamps, Friday happy hour appropriate stamps and others.
For the base I used OPI Koala bear-y (old swatch here). I love this polish, it's one of my fave bright creme polishes. It's pink but a muted, more adult version of pink. Don't get me wrong, my love for neon pinks is still growing strong but sometimes I need something quieter

Hello!

If you follow me on Instagram you probably already know that I broke my nail so I had to chop them all off :( I always get super emotional about it but after a few days I get back in the saddle and carry on with my normal life :) I still have two folders of photos with long nails because I have a week long gap between wearing a mani and posting about it. My nail broke on Saturday so today I was finally able to edit the pics *yes I know I'm a drama queen*
What I'm showing you today is a mani using Models own Hedonist (for more manis using Hedonist click here) and Born pretty storeBP-11 plate. Usually I'm a fan of baroque inspired stamping plates aka anything without straight lines because you have to be much more careful with lining the images. That is the main reason why I picked BP-11 when they offered me plates for review because I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone a bit more. You can see that I struggled a bit on my ring finger with centering the design but hey, practice makes perfect :) To be honest this is not my favourite mani and I envisioned it differently in my head but I got quite a few compliments on it so I guess it's a matter of taste.

Hello!

When Essence released Cinderella promo photos I wasn't really impressed/didn't think I'd need anything. But one thing did caught my attention and that was Essence Cinderella TE Prince charming, a metallic blue nail polish. It left some brush strokes and it bubbled on me but its just so damn pretty <3 I have to try it for stamping, let's hope it will work.

Review: Owl mani

Hello!

Shorties! :) Spring time is here so I decided to do a Spring inspired mani using Born pretty store stamping plate that I was sent for reviewing purposes.
For the base I used 2 coats of OPI Pink Friday which is one of my fave bright yet pastel pinks. I worn it quite a few times but I don't think I ever showed it here on it's own. Ooops :) Pinkie and pointer finger both got a coat of Essence Bird of paradise with lovely pastel bar glitters. For the rest of nails I used Barry M Silver which is my go to silver polish for stamping and BP-54 stamping plate. How cute are the owls? <3

Hello!

Here we go again, I managed to do another faves post. A bit late but oh well :)

Lets star with something random. I've been trying to reduce my caffeine intake so I started to drink more teas. Lord Nelson is a Lidl brand and I must say that these teas are amazing for such a low price (keep in mind that they're still teas in a bag and they can't compare to actual teas from tea stores). I think they're around 1.50€. They don't have the biggest selection of flavors so I only picked up Cherry kiss and Lemon & pepper so far. Both are super yummy and if you like tea, you should give them a go :)

Spring is a season for lighter scents (I'm a fragrance hoarder too) so I felt like the past month was my last chance for heavy sugary fragrances. My most used were Essence Vampire's love, Refan replica of Hypnotic poison and Hard candy Hard candy (broke the original bottle but managed to save some). They're all very sweet and I love them  <3

I've been reading a lot about oil cleansing and since my skin is on the dry side I decided to give it a go. Result? I'm obsessed <3 I've been using Vitaquell coconut oil and Balea Zarter reinigungsschaum. What I do is I take some coconut oil, melt it in the palms of my hands then rub it all over my face. It just melts the makeup and makes you look like a lovely panda :) After that I wipe everything off with a washcloth, dipped in some warm watter. If I had a light makeup day or no makeup on at all I end my night routine there, if I wore some heavy makeup I follow with Balea foam and some moisturiser.

You know that feeling when you find a product that is perfect but it's not available in your country? I randomly picked up My body Meersalz peeling in Bipa, a drugstore in Austria. I think I payed around 3€ for a tub of 500 grams. This scrub is rough (just how I like them wink wink ) and leaves your skin feeling smooth as hell. It has no added oils so I need to follow up with some lotion but I don't mind. This really is a steal, I've used it 5 times and I still have more than half a tub. The only bad thing is that since it's a salt peeling it will burn if you have any scratches or cut on your body. Luckily my boyfriend visits Austria on a monthly basis and he already volunteered to be my cross boarder peeling smuggling mule <3

I'm one of those people that constantly buy lipsticks but the always wear pinks/nudes. This past month I've been trying to wear more colors on my lips. My go to lip products were Essence On the catwalk! and  Essence Wear berries! lipsticks and Essence A girl's dream lip liner. On the catwalk is a perfect everyday red, not too bright and not too dark. Wear berries! is unfortunately not available anymore. Such a shame since it's a lovely berry/purple shade. A girl's dream is from their new range of lip liners. It's super creamy so it can be easily worn as lipstick. I adore the shade, it's an interesting mix of red, pink and sometimes I even see a hint of coral in it. Last beauty fave is Essence Soo glow! cream to powder highlighter in Look on the bright side. As the name says it's in cream form but it transforms into powder as soon as you rub in on skin. There are two shades, a pink one which would look horrible on my skin tone and this one, with small gold shimmers. I like it because it stays on my skin nicely and can be buildable from light highlight to full on light ball. I do love me some Essence :)

My last fave is getting off  my ass and moving :) I'm in my last year of my masters which means I have classes, exams and I'm writing my thesis which means a whole lot of sitting and a whole lot of stressing. Working out really helps me keep my sanity :)

I feel like this post is all over the place but YOLO :)

Review: Chevron nails

Hello!

Final product that I was sent from from Born pretty store is this gorgeous plate, BP-L 006. It even came in a little paper sleeve <3 I picked it out because it has big images so it's great for longer nails and it's also a great mix of animal prints, geometric shapes and smaller themed designs.
For this mani I went with a chevron design, I've seen many manis like that created with the help of nail vinyls but I'm to lazy for that :) For the base I used Barry M Silver and Color club Beyond the mistletoe for the glitter nails or Essence Fatal. For stamping I used my trusted Konad Black (great stamping polish but a bitch to clean up). I wanted to add some extra bling to the black nails so I put a big hexagonal glitter on each nail but the glitters were weird and not visible under some angles. Oh well :) I think this was my first stamping over a glitter base and I really liked how the holo glitters looked with a glossy black contrast color <3

Farmona: prvi vtis

$

Pozdravljeni,

LASJE:
Najprej nekaj o mojih laseh. Trenutno lase izraščam, so nebarvani, a imam še vedno ostanke barve na konicah, kjer so lasje suhi. So tanki in zato pogosto naelektreni. Najprej sem preizkusila Hair Genic Bambo & Oils duo šampona in maske.

Kar mi ni bilo všeč so bile nalepke s prevodom čez INCI sestavine :)

TELO:

Hello!
Reader and a fellow blogger Lana from Lana's fairytale wished to see the starry pattern from BP-L 006 plate and who am I too say no :) To be honest I was eyeing that pattern too and since I already had my favourite blue on I just went ahead. The base is two coats of Kiko 336, a gorgeous electric blue. For stamping I used Essence Prince charming. I've read a few times that some bloggers had problems with it stamping but it worked ok with me. But this is where the fun began :) I have no clue what happened but the camera didn't want to show the stamping on pics. I kept looking at my nails and at the camera display window and I was just like can you not? Spoiler it did :) I tried a few other locations at my house but the result was not perfect. I did include one photo at the end so you can see how it actually looked :)So please keep this in minds as you look at the photos. The mani was gorgeous thought <3

Spring water marble

Hello!
You know when you really like the way something looks but you hate doing it? No, I'm not talking about exes, I'm talking about water marbling :) If you're been reading my blog for a while perhaps you remember my rage when I did a water marble and then swore I'm never doing it again. No, I didn't cave in, I found a way around it. I've found a new water marble technique online where you don't have to dunk fingers in the water and deal with the nasty cleanup. You just drip the polish in water, make the design and then just let it sit. In a few hours the nail polish completely dries and you can gently pick the thin layer of dried polish from the water surface. Then you just cut it into decals and apply it over a slightly wet polish on your nails. You have some clean up left but nothing drastic.
I wanted something happy and colorful. For water marbling I used Bourjois Green fizz, Kiko 336, Color club Wink wink twinkle and Depend 035 (same if I didn't cause it didn't show). I didn't wanna overkill it with marble so I combined it with Green fizz on some nails.
I loved this mani and I even got a few compliments on it which rarely happens in real life, I usually get passive aggressive ones haha :)

Polish Alcoholic Half sack

Hello!

Today I have a special polish for you, my first Polish Alcoholic polish. I got it as a gift from my man for my birthday as he sneakily ordered 3 of them without my knowing. Description on their Etsy page says "Half Sack is a blackened blue base packed with fine blue to red duo chrome glitter and bright blue shimmer. Opaque in two to three coats, depending on application." Unfortunately the color shift was not visible on my nails but it's an amazing polish anyway. It was opaque in two coats and it was really smooth even before I put top coat on. The removal was surprisingly easy, I didn't need to use the foil method, I just held the cotton pad on my nails for a few seconds.Check out this blue beauty <3

Hello!

Black is always going to be my favourite nail (and everything else) color <3 If it comes in a badass bottle as this skull one then even better :) This beauty was a part of a bday gift I got from Gin and I love it as much as I love her. Polish has no name and even no brand but if I remember correctly, I think she got it at Tedi. Two coats, no top coat, perfection <3

Hello!

Today I have a very special polish for you, Polish Alcoholic Fireworks Galaxy. The name is very suiting as you'll be able to see in a shit-ton of photos posted below :) I just couldn't help myself and not post so many of them. From the official Etsy page: 'Fireworks Galaxy' is a clear base packed with ultra chrome flakies that vary in flake size. This can be layered over any desired color but really pops over black undies. These flakies are delicate creatures and therefore lay flat on the nail." This says it all, Fireworks galaxy is a great polish and very easy to work with. On photos I have two thin coats over black and the flakies really lay flat on the nail, I wouldn't even need top coat. I noticed that with glittery Half sack from one of my previous posts too, I'm really curious what kind of polish base they use :) This just might be one of my fave toppers <3

Hello!
Where do months go?! I know this is such a cliche question that everyone asks but really, days just fly by. This months faves almost look like the "gold tag" :)

My skin has been loving oils lately which is totally new to me. I don't know what changed but I'm not complaining.

Alverde Wildrose face oil: I can totally admit that I originally only bought it for it's packaging since it has a pipette that I was planning to use for nail oils. I heard a lot of good things about it but I was sure that my face won't like it and that I'll use the oil for nails. Surprise surprise, my skin loves this as a night treatment. My skin is dry and this really nourishes it.

Balea beauty öl: for my body I've been using this oil I also found in Dm, it's a mixture of different oils.
I love that it's on the dry side and it absorbs very fast.

Aveo Mandel nail polish remover: I had a stash of removers to use up and this month I finally came back to my one true love, Aveo Mandel <3 It's just perfect, cheap, contains acetone, works fast and doesn't dry out my nails.

Oriflame Miss Giordani Eau De Parfum: I won this beauty over atSparkle with laughter. Fragnatica says"The composition is floral-fruity, developed by Lucas Sieuzac. It opens with notes of Calabrian bergamot, white grapefruit, green ivy and mango sorbet. The heart features rare red pepper Pondicherry, sunny neroli flower from Milan, white peony and freesia. The base is made of rich woods such as patchouli and sandalwood, vanilla and fruity raspberry musk." All that I know is that it smells amazing (yes I know 'm amazing at describing scents :)

Essence brush blush: this is so old that I'm not even sure they still sell it. When I bought it I was really disappointed cause the brush doesn't wanna pick up much product but.... I've started using Catrice 080 Go, Charlie Brown! mono eyeshadow. It's a taupey matte brown and it's great for all over the lid or for contouring and this is where the Essence brush comes in handy, Since it only picks up a little bit of product it's been my go to contour brush.

Eyebrow Filler - Perfecting & Shaping Gel is another staple in my makeup routine. I'm lucky that my brows don't need much attention and this tinted gel is all I've been using. It lightly color my brows and most importantly keeps them in place all day.

Avon Luxe Volume Extravagance Mascara: I won't go into details with one since I'm preparing a post about Avon but let me just tell you that this is one good mascara.

Essence Barely there: I had it on my wish list forever but since I already have so many lipsticks I kept telling myself no. Then one day I came to classes and my friend had on the most gorgeous lipstick ever. Obviously I wanted to know which one was and as you might have guessed it was Barely there. It's a great lipstick, staying power is not amazing but this has still been my go to lip product since I bought it.

Review: Everyday makeup look featuring Avon

Hello!

A while ago Avon offer to send me a few of their products to test out and as a makeup junkie I could not say no :) I got three products that are perfect for creating an "everyday look".  First I have to say that I love the cardboard packaging, I really wish they would use the design on the actual products too. What the cardboard hides is a metallic gold packaging which looks very classy but you get fingerprints everywhere :(

First item that I got is Luxe lipstick in Lustering Nude. It's a peachy/pink/nude lipstick with loads of shimmer in it. I am more of a matte lips girl but this is still a nice new addition to my collection. The lipstick goes on smoothly and doesn't dry out the lips. The only problem  had is that when the lipstick wears off, the shimmer still sticks to your lips :(

Luxe eyeshadow palette Cocoa Couture is a gorgeous eyeshadow palette containing 4 brown shades and a pink one. The packaging is pretty big and sturdy so it's not the most travel friendly but it does have a decent sized mirror. I'll be honest, I had no clue what to do with the pink eyeshadow since I can't pull off pink on my eyes without looking like I have an infection. I wish they made this eyeshadow bigger so it could be used a s a blush. the eyeshadows have medium pigmentation, are very blendable and not dusty.

Sama senčila so srednjepigmentirana,so zlahka zabrišejoinse neprašijo.

Luxe Volume Extravagance mascara Black is my favourite product out of the bunch. It has become my go to mascara in the past month. It gives me volume, length, doesn't clump my lashes together to an extreme and is generally easy to work with. I'm always late so I appreciate all mascaras that are not a hassle to work with :)

Here is the finished look, hope you like it *.*

Hello!

It's time to clean up my picture volt again so today I'm showing you a very old mani. It's actually so old I can't even find these rose water decals on Born pretty store site :) Bases are Kiko 245, a gorgeous plumy shimmer and Coral 181, my go to pink. I'm not sure I like the combo with the decals but the polishes on their own are enough for me to love this.

Now that I'm looking and these photos I kinda like the old black fabric material background better then the current paper one. Which one do you prefer?

My nail growth cycle aka shit happens :)

Hello!

Lately I got the feeling that my nails were growing crazy fast. I couldn't leave it alone so I decided to document it :) Disclaimer: yes I know my nails are stained, I use base coat everytime and they still look like that. I don't care since they're always polished. This post is more for me than it is for you, my readers, but I still thought I'd share it :)

And this is where we are now. I got a tear into my nail bed on my right hand and I had no choice but to cut them down. Judging from these photos I should be good in about a month or so.

Thanks for stopping by and happy growing :)
